In the Bohemian dicctionary...

if you looked under "hidden", you might find this:
If you looked under "contentment", there might be a picture like this:
can you hear me purring?
Under "what honey tastes like", you would smell these:
Under "the aroma of purple", it would show these:
And if you wondered about the definition of "pink leopard spots", you would find this:
wishing you the passion of pink all around your world. go forth and sniff and smell!  sending you joyful thoughts...

"i have need of the sky..."

"I have need of the sky, I have business with the grass,
I will up and get me away where the hawk is wheeling
Lone and high,

And the slow clouds go by.
I will get me away to the waters that glass
The clouds as they pass.  - Richard Hovey
"...trailing clouds of glory, do we come,
From God, who is our home...  -Wordsworth
sweet, wonderful glory-of-the-clouds wishes to you! have a brim-full-of-nature week....

a journey of hints...

the bohemian traveled into the city by the bay.  it was much earlier than she usually arrived there. she was on a food fast so as to give blood at the laboratory...  it was a misty, slightly eerie morning, putting her in mind of Autumn and Halloween. and vampires, what with the blood-sucking and all that spookiness in the air...

she noticed things she didn't usually... like rusted gates...
and stone steps disappearing into the darkened recesses of old buildings...
and black cats looming out of the mists...
spooky silhouettes and  haunting shadows...
and windows shaped like crystal balls...

but THIS window... oh this window made her smile so big!!!  and she immediately thought of COFFEE!!!  and so her journey into the city by the  bay was sweetly capped off by a tall *bees knees latte at the black drop coffee house...  (more smiling!!!)
* this delectable treat is a coffee latte with honey and essence of roses... oh joy, oh coffee bliss!!!!

"I know the night is near at hand:
the mists lie low on hill and bay,
the Autumn sheaves are dewless, dry;
But I have had the day..."
-Silas Weir Mitchell

(of course that dewless/dry part isn't really descriptive of this part of bohemia but lately it HAS been pretty dry! the fire-danger-meter stands at HIGH right now...  no end-of-the-summer campfires. no s'mores.  but O! the berries! they are just dripping off the vines!!! grazing along the edges of the property puts a giant smile on the bohemian's face! YUMMY!)  the bohemian is wishing you a lovely fall season with crackly leaf carpets and crunchy brown nuts and late late warmth-of-summer days as the season slowly turns into autumn. and of course: coffee bliss to you all!

ROYAL BOHEMIAN BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT!

in the land of bohemia, there is a newness, a bit of magic and miracle, a fresh beginning... and at the nearby lake, a precious photo shoot was taking place... the bohemian daughter (in-law) was busily snapping photos of the new fairy princess that had been recently born... (the bohemian's new granddaughter...pride of pride!!!) yes, this post will be long on pics...you understand, right? feel free to say: ooooh and aahhh... she royally wears orange well, don't you think? (the bohemian's favorite color) precious, yes? the royal fairy princess is not so sure about this black theme... but pinkness and birdies? oh yes! and definitely sea shells! the bohemian has big plans for her and the fairy princess (named Hanna Marie) to go on many shell-finding trips to the beaches!! and YES, she is a mermaid, thanks for asking... sweetness bursting out all over... mmm hhmmm... will she be shy? she will definitely love pearls!!! and she will eventually lose the binky during photo shoots... "FINALLY," thinks the fairy princess as she snuggles down into her royal conveyance... "they are finally done taking pictures of me! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE CRAZY BOHEMIANS? they are driving me a little bit crazy myself!" the bohemian thanks you kindly for humoring her and her obsessive post about the new granddaughter. don't forget to go out and play today! and on your walk around the lake, look for the magic of fairies...it's out there, i assure you!! precious fresh-from-heaven baby magic wishes to you all today...

things to do on a weekend at the farm...

The bohemian's last weekend out in the small village of Llano Verde, Costa Rica... She and her hubby stayed with the family who live in this small house there... Things to do there: watch the pot of beans cook on the fire... pick oranges off the tree (yes, they're ripe and sweet!)... fix the flat tire... stop and smell the flowers... laugh at the calf antics and go to sleep to the sound of cows mooing and chickens crowing... lay around and rest... help with English homework... ride horseback... help catch the chicken for supper... go to church... pet the "fern grass" (that's what the bohemian calls this grass, which cringes and folds up when you stroke it)... watch the cows go past on their way to the pasture... listen to children say Bible verses and sing songs... say farewells to the family we stayed with... (The bohemian's youngest daughter actually stayed all week in this village to be immersed in Spanish and help their son with his English. The parents are to the left, the 3 girls beside the bohemian belong to her missionary friends. That's her honey beside her and the son studying English, beside him. The other young man is a friend who is always visiting there.) And so the bohemian's visit to Bohemia of the south comes to an end. She says farewell to the warmth and beauty of Costa Rica and prepares herself for the winter weather hitting the Pacific Northwest right now. She wishes all of you a very warm and toasty Thanksgiving celebration. Have a gratitude Fling...make your list of all you have to be thankful for. Don't forget to list playfulness, then go out and play! Pumpkin-pie-with-whipped-cream wishes to you all...

a fascination with architectural doodads...

the bohemian had a total fascination with all the architectural details on this beautiful catholic church... it was right next door to the sunday vegetable market... so she walked around the block with her camera, like a total tourist and snapped a bunch of pictures... she loved all the arches... and the carvings... and the stark white of the church against the drama of the dark clouds... the contrast of the round shapes and the sharp points... and the contrast of the natural against the man-made angles... and the wrought iron shapes of the fence... and the gates... the patterns.... What an eyeful of beauty!!! go out and find the beauty that is all around you... and don't forget to "DO" art!!!!
