Under "the aroma of purple", it would show these:
And if you wondered about the definition of "pink leopard spots", you would find this:
wishing you the passion of pink all around your world. go forth and sniff and smell!  sending you joyful thoughts...

"i have need of the sky..."

"I have need of the sky, I have business with the grass,
I will up and get me away where the hawk is wheeling
Lone and high,

And the slow clouds go by.
I will get me away to the waters that glass
The clouds as they pass.  - Richard Hovey

a gratitude fling...

the weather here in bohemia is mercurial... the bohemian is sure she has mentioned that before. once or twice. per season, even. possibly...

but she never tires of her mountains, at the feet of which she is so thankful to be able to dwell...

and although the wind tried to destroy her camellia bush by blowing half of it over, still it blooms into glorious profusion, to her deep delight...
exchange group challenge: purple and yellow

she is so thankful for time. and resources. and the ability to create...

thankful for PAINT!  and such variety of colors! yummy...

and she's thankful for her tiny magnolia tree, blossoming in fragile white star blossoms the season of its second year of life.
and she is so thankful for her quiet place. a bower beneath the fruit trees, where she can read and think and listen to nature around her... and remember how deeply blessed she is. wishing you deep blessings and refuges full of sweet nature with its riotous colors! go out and take a look....

cousins' day & old art...

the bohemian fairy grandchildren have a cousins' day at grammy's house...

*a few ATC's (altered trading cards) to exchange with her artist friend... theme: SPRING!

* an old journal page from her "morning pages" altered art journal (above) exulting in the lack of normal rainfall...

*a "morning page" about the rain that soon began to fall as a normal winter began (above)...

* (above) squares for the next calendar month... a Spring month!
* an old "morning page" bemoaning a fight with an on-going headache... something she is fighting again.

**wishing a lovely Easter and a happy spring to you all!

behind...

yes, she knows... knows how far behind she is... it really  isn't bothering her.  she's inclined to drag out the sseason as long as she can!  she starts listening to christmas music in october.  if she puts the faux tree up, she's inclined to leave it up til her honey says PLEASE take down the tree!  her lights...the white ones... she calls them party lights so she can leave them up all year round...
day 12: wisemen.  wisemen bringing gifts for the baby.  she loves to buy presents for people. but the royal children got money this year.  it's what they all needed. more than socks. but no one got gold or incense or costly herbs...

day 13:  christmas time is the one time of the year she's sorry she waged war on the holly tree and eradicated it. although it never had berries. just spikey leaves that got under bare feet in the grass. thus the war... she's wishing for great joy for you this christmas time... those angels brought good news!! baby Jesus was born to save us all.  hallelujah!
day 14: and O my! no tree this year?! she thought she might cry. but she didn't want a tree for the fairy grandchild to pull over on herself! so. she went with this little sparkly 2 and 1/2 ft. faux one sitting high up where the fairy grandchild could oooh and ahhh but not touch. and you know what? the bohemian is very satisfied with it!!  well... she must run... time for music practice.  her bass guitar, a few friends, and some christmas carols! oh yeah!  happy happy.  countdown anticipatory joy to you all!!

the second day of december...

it's rainy in bohemia today.  and the bohemian and her prince are sick with the curse of the creepy crud.   but there's a fire in the woodstove and outside the window the raindrop are sparkling like diamonds on the rose bush branches in the dull gray light...
square #2 on the advent calendar
day two... a day to ponder pairs of things. mated things. the feelings pairs of things evoke...

for example: swans are the most magical of all birds. alone, all by themselves, they are magical. yet a pair of swans are the most romantic pair of things (besides champagne and chocolate, of course!). feelings of peace and serenity and a longing for such grace... that's what the bohemian feels when she watches swans.  and add a few baby swans! warm fuzzies by the truck load for sure!!

a pair of old world arches on a building in russia.  the bohemian was somewhat awestruck simply by the age and history around her there. but she's so fascinated by arches! she took way too many pictures of architectural arches while she visited... each one so different from the others!  awestruck... that's how she felt.

oh yes, MORE warm fuzzies!! a pair of soft, warm, fuzzy kittens with their little motors purring up a storm. is there anything more full of the feeling of contentment?!
a pair of lattes... hot, creamy, artsy...  this is the symbol of fellowship, heart-to-heart talks, companionship, friends... lingering over the last sip of cream in the bottom of the cup. sweet happiness.
and a pair of hand-made christmas tags...  wishing the recipients the peace of christmas. that peace of the baby Jesus. that peace of the snow softly falling and blanketing the earth in serene silence. that peace of having all your grown children gathered safely together in your home... even noisy, wild, love-filled peace counts,  you know!!  wishing so much snowflake peace and fuzzy warm love to everyone at  this blessed magical time of year.

squares of halloween...

( sharing a few squares of the october calendar...)
give a hoot!
saturday, the 13th day of october... the rain has set in. outside the bohemian's window it is gray, gray, gray...

let cuteness abound!
such is the normal weather of bohemia for this time of year.  but O! what a marvelous fall there was!  the leaves are brilliant! but a forecasted windstorm this weekend will no doubt have those colors dancing and spinning to the ground...
and just one reminder for this time of year, when everyone likes to dress up like someone other than themselves:  have fun but BE YOU!   wishing you hot apple cider joy and the lovely aroma of pumpkin spice lattes...

Portland sparkled in the sun...

beautiful window in train station
she took the train, along with her sister, to the Women Of Faith conference in Portland.
shadow of beautiful window at train station, cast upon the other wall
the train wandered past mountains that were snowcapped and water that was sparkling in the sunshine. through towns and cities. past big beautiful train stations and past train stations that looked like bus stops.

ceiling tiles and lights in the Portland train station.
it was a rather delicious way to travel! comfy seats and picture windows. gorgeous views and good conversation. and of course, coffee.
they  stepped off the train in Portland to sunshine and mid-seventies weather.  the hotel shuttle picked them up and took them only a few blocks to their comfy hotel.  for naps. then shopping. then hot tubbing and swimming. and a delicious dinner of teriyaki salmon and coconut basmati rice. and, of course, coffee.
clock tower at Portland train station
a day of shopping at Lloyd Center shopping mall, one of the oldest in the pacific northwest, brought back memories. as a kid, coming home from visiting relatives in southern oregon, Lloyd Center was the stop for school coats and shoes. the bohemian remembers it as huge! with a giant ice skating rink in the middle!

in reality...

just a nice mall...

with a little skating rink in it....but the bohemian DID find a pair of beautiful boots. for only $22! and a scarf with colors that go with everything she owns. and, of course, there was coffee!

and the Women Of Faith conference was incredible and wonderful and uplifting in so many ways... the music, the ballet, the laughter, the sharing, the tears... 8500 women with their cell phone lights on in the dark. clapping and whistling as loud in the Garden stadium as when the trailblazers play.  but in tribute to Jesus and His love...  such joy!

and an amazing artist  who painted. while they listened to the most beautiful music!!

.               yes, it was truly one of those most special weekends, on a particularly sunny and warm weekend. in october. in the beautiful city of Portland.   wishing you beautiful autumn days full of Jesus' love...

1st of October...

knee-deep into autumn, and the weather in bohemia is unusually dry and unseasonably warm.  and no rain looms on the weather forecaster's horizon.
on the first day of october, the morning weather in bohemia is cold! brrrrr! but clear...soon to be sunny! and a visit to the chiropractor is on the schedule for the day.  aching limbs and last week's raging headache are to be expelled!!

and pumpkin picking. that is on the list for today.  the last few cold mornings have shriveled up the vines and wilted the giant leaves and the bright orange baby pumpkin faces are grinning up at the bohemian.

and packing... that's on the list also! packing for a train ride. a lovely train ride to the Women of Faith conference in Portland. with the royal sister.  the bohemian is smiling in anticipation...

and ghost cat has his halloween costume all picked out for this year... have you?  do sweet little trick or treaters, all dressed up in their imaginations, come knocking at your door?  last year, the bohemian had NONE! she was sad.  but this year, she will at least have grandchildren to come knocking... yes, she's smiling some more.   happy autumn pumpkiny wishes to you...
