cousins' day & old art...

the bohemian fairy grandchildren have a cousins' day at grammy's house...

*a few ATC's (altered trading cards) to exchange with her artist friend... theme: SPRING!

* an old journal page from her "morning pages" altered art journal (above) exulting in the lack of normal rainfall...

*a "morning page" about the rain that soon began to fall as a normal winter began (above)...

* (above) squares for the next calendar month... a Spring month!
* an old "morning page" bemoaning a fight with an on-going headache... something she is fighting again.

**wishing a lovely Easter and a happy spring to you all!

morning pages:

the new "morning pages" book:

a september page... the bohemian wiped out a large portion of two months with this headache that mounted and receded, like an ocean tide, and which made it hard to plan to do anything. but she's ALWAYS grateful that this is the only thing she is struggling with right now.  she  knows many others who are being challenged with much worse things!!!

and the rains finally came, late into the fall...

and there are always things to be grateful for! the bohemian likes to list these blessings and gifts, to remind her of how blessed she really is. and to remind her to pray for all those not as fortunate...

thanksgiving blessings are earnestly wished for you and yours this holiday season. may God bless you richly! don't forget to "count your blessings. name them one by one.. and it will surprise you what the Lord has done".
the bohemian would love to hear what's on your gratitude list! linger and leave a comment. she would love that....HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

some more March morning pages...

yep! thus the bohemian's mantra: April showers bring May flowers. repeat as needed to lift dampened spirits...
yes. coffee DOES show up on almost every page! (addiction?!)
                                     .
oh yes! we shall all be OKAY!  may spring in your corner of the world be mild and blooming in profusion

pages of March...

march was mostly grey in bohemia... the bohemian's daily pages showed it. but occasionally, the sun burst through the clouds, and the bohemian had hopes of spring again... and March days marched along bringing sun/rain/snow/sun/hail/rainbows/rain/sun...etc the bohemian treasured her days at home... quiet days of playing in her art room... yessir, life is good here in bohemia. and spring is definitely on the way... splashes of color to hug you and many bright painty wishes to you...

Black Book, and Morning Pages...

okay. i'm doing things a new way. new things to learn...not my favorite thing.  i like it when i find what i like and it stays that way... forever.  sigh.  what planet am i from, you ask?  my planet's called Magic Bubble, and the Land of Bohemia is there...  the above picture is the cover of my Black Book.
i loved this image and found this word. i liked it and so it was finished...
The darkest hour only has 60 minutes."  -Morris Mandel.  -a good reminder for a book with dark themes.
this is a daily page from my Morning Pages book.  the rain has been pretty unrelenting here.  along with snow that just wouldn't seem to go away.  and not to be petty or shallow but somehow that nice hot cup of coffee DOES make it seem more bearable!  "waiting for Hanna" means my first grandchild is 1 month away from me being able to hold and cuddle her!!!  i can't wait!!
 more daily pages...
hope your corner of the world is ablaze with the glory of Springtime!  artsy fartsy love and cherry blossom wishes to you all...

my travel journal...

little chloe looking at my travel journal for this trip to costa rica... i painted the pages before i left... and glued in some of my favorite scrapping paper... i also inked some of the pages. this beautiful butterfly was almost whole but dead when i found him but he suffered some destruction before i got him into the journal. he had brilliant teal and electric green on him. and i inserted some stamped things and some ribbons and fiber... that's right!! and i created my usual travel alphabet...hopefully these pages will be full by the time i leave for home.. artistic and color-filled wishes to you all!

and a wee bit of orange...

rising up in the morning sunlight, the bohemian could not believe the racket the children were making!! oh no, not her own... the neighbor's! well, could you call them "neighbors"? they live right above the window of the orange room! it's unnerving to the bohemian to have them swooping down upon her as she picks flowers from her front yard garden! to say nothing of the pooh on the windows below... not her favorite neighbors... no. not. the card created for her stamping exchange group challenge: "unusual openings" here you can see the shiny areas of the embossment (but mr. spellcheck, she LIKES that word!) and this card, created for the challenge: "fibers" (using her favoritest purple/orange fiberness, which is a much yummier purple than the camera would show) and some paste paper playing-aroundness... and oh yes... that wee bit of orange that was promised!! the quote: "We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out." -Ray Bradbury (one of the bohemian's favorite writers!) and from her morning pages book... the art of orange the bohemian truly wishes all a lovely day full of letting the beautiful stuff out, and don't forget to play!!!!
