O! it's a bright shiny sunny day in bohemia!! it's so beautiful today! there was frost this morning, so the whole scene outside her window is sparkling in the sunlight! the bohemian is so thankful to live in this gorgeous place...
***ART PROJECTS: she has been working in a friends altered book themed "tulips"...
*first page:
she's been saving this picture of these two little darling girls in their bright pink dresses with those gorgeous orangey-pink tulips with shockingly yellow centers... PERFECT!
*page 2:
she's been saving this adorable but slightly bemused cherub in denim with her purple tulips... these were so perfect for her friend's tulip book! and so, now the bohemian feels justified over her office-sized file cabinet stuffed to over-flowing with collected images.... her powers of justification are immense!
*page 3: images of beautiful little girls blissfully enjoying the tulip fields which grow in the nearby valley...

RR altered book...about cats
Thursday, April 12, 2012
pages of March...
march was mostly grey in bohemia... the bohemian's daily pages showed it.
but occasionally, the sun burst through the clouds, and the bohemian had hopes of spring again...
and March days marched along bringing sun/rain/snow/sun/hail/rainbows/rain/sun...etc
the bohemian treasured her days at home...
quiet days of playing in her art room... yessir, life is good here in bohemia. and spring is definitely on the way... splashes of color to hug you and many bright painty wishes to you...

a few bohemian days... DAY 1: the fairy grandchild...
hi, grandma... what do you mean, am i messing up your magazines? of course not!
ok, well maybe... but i'm too cute for you to mind, right? DAY 2: workshop with the card exchange group... shaker cards:
peer into the window... punched flowers wiggle around in joyful spring fashion...
wild cats are among the bohemian's favorite animals. so when she found this one in a "cut-up" magazine, she wanted to use it! inside the circle window...tiny microbeads dancing with the snowflakes. and...
an artist trading card... bohemian-ish, don't you think? makes the bohemian feel like dancing and singing on the mountaintop... oh wait. that's been done already.
and two 2-page spreads done in a friend's "birds & scriptures" round robin altered book...
bird-song wishes and mountain-top joy to you today... have you hugged your inner child today?

bohemia in white...
oh yes! bohemia is draped in white today! actually it started on saturday night... this was the piccture out the window on monday, as it had continued to snow all day and night...
this was the picture on tues!
monday...
tuesday... 20 inches and still snowing... it's wednesday and it's still snowing! what a fun winter storm!! but prayers go out to those who are having hardships because of the weather...
a little art peek: a two page spread for a friend's round robin book titled: women. she used a floral themed photo album, which was really fun to work in!
the bohemian knew those lace scraps would be perfect! and the beautiful little girl, watering her flowers and sharing their joy...
and a favorite quote about the faith she and her friend share...
altered round robin for another friend in the same stamping group. she used a blank chipboard book, which was a little more challenging to work in. her theme: self-portrait. so the bohemian covered the pages with images and words of things the bohemian loves...
it's quite a busy collage but she had fun putting it together.
back to the weather... her windowsill snowmen are soooo happy!!
two feet of snow and still snowing.... fluffy snowball dreams and sparkly white wishes to you all... don't forget to play today, whether it's snowball fights or splashy mudpuddles or sandcastles or walks in the desert heat... carpe diem!

goodbye october...
farewell, october... you graced bohemia with beautiful crisp sunny days. you also handed us windswept, rainfilled ones. the trees wore the most gorgeous colors this year! thank you, most imaginative Creator, for leaves of red, orange, gold... for rainbows, purple clouds, orange pumpkins, multi-colored and crunchy leaf piles, spidery webs decorated with fat, sparkly raindrops, and blue mountain majesty with a dust of brilliant white snowfall. my soul is well-fed with such abundance of beauty...
a page from the bohemian's "black" glue book... "make hast to be kind"!
a glorious halloween to everyone. relish the beauty of the season and don't forget to count your blessings one by one. keep your costumed selves playful and safe! black and silver wishes with purple and orange love notes to you all...

a travel journal...
the bohemian is finally finishing up another travel journal. this one had captured memories from some of her shorter trips around her own country, rather than her travels abroad.
snippets of the pages she prepared for her trip to S. Dakota to visit her brother.
she always includes a travel alphabet...
and embellishments. and stickers.
and stamps...
and ephemera picked up along the way... (passport stamp from Theodore Roosevelt Nat'l Park, and a real butterfly, who committed suicide on the grill of her sister's convertible).
winter is advancing quickly... sit by your fire, drag out the journals, and relive the memories of warmer, more adventurous days of your life. be warm and safe out there...

a little bit of art...
cards for my trading group...
the bohemian just had to use some of this awesome paper she just bought! (she needed new paper like she needed a hole in her head but... isn't it beautiful?!)
busy days in bohemia lately but O! the sunny weather!!! YES! finally summer arrived...
the bohemian just finished reading: Havah, by Tosca Lee... a story about the first woman, Eve. it was an interesting tale.
o this is soooo my thinking on the whole cooking thing!!! hope you find some reading time in the quiet rest of a summer evening. now, go outside and play!!! warm summery wishes to all...
